Privacy Policy

Effective July 29, 2026

Pitching Curve is a parent-managed youth pitching development service operated by Sinapis Digital LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to parents and account holders.

Who may use the service

Accounts are for adults age 18 or older. A player profile must be created and managed by the player's parent or legal guardian. Children may not create accounts or submit information directly to Pitching Curve.

Information we collect

  • Adult account information, including email address, authentication provider, consent history, and account status.
  • Private player profile information, including a parent-selected label, birth month and year, graduation year, and throwing hand.
  • Dated pitching measurements, such as pitch velocities, strike percentage or strike and pitch counts, pitch-repertoire status, secondary-pitch velocities, and a general source category such as travel, varsity, showcase, or training.
  • Optional dated height and weight measurements when the adult chooses to use the separate CDC growth-context chart.
  • Essential technical and security information needed to authenticate users, prevent misuse, diagnose errors, and operate the service.
  • Billing identifiers and subscription status only if the user later chooses a paid service. No payment method is required or collected for the current free service, and Pitching Curve does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.

How we use information

  • Provide the calculator, private profile, history, and trends.
  • Authenticate the adult account and protect private records.
  • Operate the free service and provide customer support.
  • Maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with law.
  • With a separate account confirmation, place de-identified measurements in a private quality-review process for possible use in future benchmarks.

Optional benchmark-improvement use

The adult account holder may separately authorize benchmark-improvement use when creating an account or later in privacy settings. Account and profile access do not require this permission. When permission is given, Pitching Curve creates a separate review record identified by a random research ID. The review record excludes the player label, adult email, team, school, city, and payment information. The source category is used to study whether submissions are concentrated among higher-level pitchers and does not change an individual Rating. Customer submissions cannot recalibrate the live Rating scale.

A parent may withdraw this permission in the dashboard after account creation. Withdrawal removes the player's review records from future benchmark use. Aggregate statistical results that no longer identify or link back to a player may remain in previously released benchmark versions.

Height and weight remain in the private player account and are used only for the optional CDC growth-context chart. They do not affect the Pitcher Rating, National Talent comparison, projection, or pathway. Pitching Curve does not require measurement-device details.

When information is shared

We do not sell personal information, use children's information for targeted advertising, or create public player profiles. Information may be provided to service providers that operate hosting, authentication, security, payment processing, and customer support. These providers may use the information only to perform services for Pitching Curve or as otherwise permitted by law. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect users and the service.

Retention

Private account and player data is kept while the account remains active or until the adult account holder deletes it. After account deletion, production records are removed promptly and residual backup copies may remain for up to 90 days before secure deletion. If paid services are introduced later, transaction records may be retained for up to seven years when needed for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or legal obligations. De-identified aggregate benchmark statistics may be retained because they cannot reasonably be used to identify a player.

Parent and account-holder choices

The adult account holder may review and correct profile information, correct a measurement without erasing its audit history, download an account export, withdraw benchmark-improvement permission, or permanently delete the account and player data. These controls are available from the dashboard and account page. A parent may also contact privacy@pitchingcurve.com.

Security

Pitching Curve uses access controls, server-side authorization, encrypted connections, restricted administrative routes, audit logs, and separation between private profiles and de-identified model-review records. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We will update the effective date when this policy changes. If a change materially expands how player information is collected, used, or disclosed, we will provide notice and request new consent when required.
